| | The Challenge As Fashion International Group (FIG), a leading regional retailer operating franchises including MANGO, Karen Millen and Promod, expanded its portfolio of brands and outlets across the region, a need arose to develop a back-end IT system capable of handling the company's increased volume of information flow and transactions. Under its existing system, FIG's management was unable to easily foresee the company's actual financial performance. It became apparent that a new system had to be designed, a system that had to be user-friendly, as well as enable real-time financial reporting, critical to the transaction-intensive front-office application.
The Solution OpenSoft, a Summit company, was selected to design, implement and maintain the new back-office financial management system at FIG. Summit was responsible for providing a comprehensive system oriented to the accounting and financial needs of the business, which could be integrated with other systems operating within the company, in the implementation of the installation phase. To ensure system sustainability, Summit also provided the project with a database that included uploading of the master data, data migration, integration with the front-office system, training of key users and mapping the business requirements to the standard features offered. The project also included the training of end users and IT users after the completion administration/maintenance and security maintenance.
The Benefit Thanks to Summit's expertise in designing and implementing Enterprise Resource Planning systems, FIG is now able to quickly and more accurately produce income, profit and loss statements, as well as better track fixed assets.
Teleperformance appoints summit for new operation in egypt Teleperformance, the global expert in contact center management, has appointed Summit as its ICT solutions provider for its new operation in Egypt. The French company's start-up operation in Cairo is currently deploying over 600 agents and is implementing an aggressive growth plan in 2008 to reach 1500 agents.
Summit, with its extensive experience in call center technology, is responsible for all the underlying infrastructure of Teleperformance's first contact center in Egypt. Following four months of thorough consultation to clearly understand and evaluate the company's requirements, Summit was able to offer a tailor-made solution that catered to Teleperformance's needs, comprising the voice and data networking system, including the latest IP telephony solutions from Avaya. Summit was indeed named by this global leader of business communications as its " Partner of the Year in Contact Center Applications", in the Middle East, for the second consecutive year. Mohamed Adly, Voice Products Manager at OTS (Orascom Technology Solutions), the Summit company managing the implementation, commented "We are truly proud to have been selected by Teleperformance to provide the core infrastructure on which its business will run. He added that the EGP 3 million project is expected to reach completion in 2008.
