Opensoft, a Summit company - an Orascom & Sumitomo Corp - announced its receipt of Microsoft's "Dynamics Partner of the Year" award for 2007, at a ceremony held at the Cairo Marriott Hotel.
Microsoft annually assesses its partners along various product and service lines; the 2007 selection criteria for the "Dynamics Partner of the Year" included measuring customer satisfaction levels, the quality of sales and marketing activities, the ratio of Microsoft certified employees and the revenue generated to Microsoft. In the customer satisfaction survey conducted by Microsoft, Opensoft was amongst the highest rated vendors of Microsoft Dynamics in Egypt. Meanwhile, the company was also one of the few to boast a formidable 100% Microsoft-certified employee-base." |

Meanwhile, the company was also one of the few to boast a formidable 100% Microsoft-certified employee-base.
With regards to the quality of sales and marketing activities conducted over the course of 2007, Opensoft again highlighted its commitment to expanding Microsoft Dynamics' sales-base through a first-of-its-kind special promotion. "There is a misperception in the market that Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions are very expensive, and are beyond the affordability of small and medium businesses (SMB's)", said Sameya El Damaty, Managing Director of Opensoft. This is why the company channeled its resources into breaking this stereotype by offering a start-up Microsoft Dynamics package at a price within the affordability of the average SMB, with the flexibility to expand the solution over time according to each company's growth. Summit’s subsidiary creatively spread awareness of this promotion through a series of radio and print adverts in national newspapers.
Commenting on the project, Mohamed Nabil, Country Manager, at OTS in Algeria said " This project is considered a milestone in the pharmaceuticals industry in Algeria since it is the first time that an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system is implemented in this industry ". He added that this will enable EL Kendi to lead the Algerian market through using high-tech technology to better manage its resources, which will lead to improvements in production efficiency.
"As the latest provider of Microsoft Dynamics solutions in Egypt", El Damaty continued, " it was an honor for us win this award, surpassing all the earlier entrants to this market in such a short period of time. She added that the company aggressively invests in its team to ensure they are continuously up-to-date on the latest technologies and solutions, which is what differentiates them from other providers.
