The Sumitomo Group of companies as we know it today started with the copper mining business back in the 90 ies and grew to become a global player in various sectors including telecommunications.

With the growing need to expand, Sumitomo Corporation has always kept an eye on the Middle East with its robust economic growth and increasing investment in infrastructure development which have placed it on the global ICT map. In order to serve this important part of the world, Sumitomo Corporation decided several years ago to penetrate the Middle East with special focus on Egypt as a promising and fast growing market that is distinguished by its rich human capital, strong political, cultural and geographical position as well as its potential growth in the ICT sector.
